Lemont Morrisey, MD
Dr. Lemont Morrisey is board certified in family medicine. He completed medical school at Wake Forest University and a residency in family medicine at East Carolina University, Pitt County Memorial Hospital where he received the Resident of the Year award in 1984. He has been practicing medicine in Burlington since 1984. Dr. Morrisey and his wife, Mae, have three children and three grandchildren. He enjoys gardening, camping, reading, golfing, and classical and worship music.
Krichna Sowles, MD
Dr. Krichna Sowles in board certified in family medicine. She completed a residency in family medicine at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, Georgia, and received her medical degree from the University of ENESCAM in Vitoria, Brazil. Dr. Sowles has resided in Burlington since 1997. She is married and has two children. Dr. Sowles enjoys providing patient care to all. She also speaks Portuguese. Her hobbies are traveling, photography, reading and spending time with her family.
Ashany Sundaram, MD
Dr. Sundaram earned a BS in Biology from the University of California, Irvine, and received her medical degree from St. George’s University in Grenada, West Indies. She holds a Clinical Leadership Certificate from Duke University and completed a Duke/SR-AHEC Family Medicine Residency Program in Fayetteville. Dr Sundaram has a special interest in preventive care, women’s health and managing chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension and heart disease.
Syed Asad Shah, MD
Syed Asad Shah, MD, is a board certified family practice physician. Dr. Shah graduated summa cum laude from NC State University and earned his medical degree from the American University of the Caribbean. He completed his residency with Southern Regional AHEC, an affiliate of Duke University Medical Center.
